All-Academic Team
In accordance with our mission and values, Central PA Elite expects student athletes to excel in the classroom as well as on the court.
Purpose: The purpose of the Central PA Elite All-Academic student-athlete recognition program shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship. The award shall recognize, annually, the high level of academic achievement demonstrated by student athletes who have effectively balanced their significant commitment of time, energy, and effort to athletics with their highly challenging academic responsibilities.
Requirements: In order to be eligible, student athletes must have achieved a cumulative 3.5/4.0 GPA (equivalent to an A) for the All-Academic First Team, or a cumulative 3.25/4.0 GPA (equivalent to a B+) for the All-Academic Second Team.
Selection Process: A parent or legal guardian must submit a photocopy of the student-athlete’s final report card and verification form by June 29, 2018. The report card and form can be sent via email to bthomas251@comcast.net.
Nature of the Award: Qualifying student athletes will be recognized at the end of the 2018 AAU season. These student-athletes will be given a CPE All-Academic Team Award, and their names will appear on the CPE website.
